石河子简介

石河子市是新疆生产建设兵团直辖的一个县级行政单位，位于新疆维吾尔族自治区北部，东部紧邻昌吉回族自治州玛纳斯县，面积457平方千米。
　　石河子市拥有62万人（2010年），其中少数民族3.2万人，占5.4%。
　　石河子历史上一度是新疆兵团总部所在地（后总部迁至自治区首府乌鲁木齐），也是农八师实行师市合一管理体制的一个新兴城市，它是由陶峙岳起义部队改编的中国人民解放军第22兵团官兵建设起来的。石河子市是以农场为依托、以工业为主导、工农结合、城乡结合、农工商一体化的军垦新城，以“戈壁明珠”的美誉著称于世。

shihezi is a small but beautiful,tidy,and peaceful city in xinjiang .it is very suitable for human to live in. there are about 640 000 people in shihezi,and 310 000 of them live in the urban.in 1950 General WangZhen ordered his army to built a city that is ShiHeZi! so it is just one year younger than our nation!there are many square for its citizens such as century square ,music square,west park and so on .it also famous for " poem".AiQing was a famous poet who had lived in SHZ. we all love our city!
