1、family的意思是“家庭、家庭成员”，与居住的房子无关。
当family作为整体概念的“家庭”讲时是单数；当“家庭成员”讲时是复数，如：

2、house的意思是“房屋、住宅”，一般对家人所居住的建筑物而言。
