为什么用on不用in？

为什么是on the south of South America而不是in the south of South America

1. in表示A地在B地范围之内。如：
Taiwan is in the southeast of China.

2. on表示A地与B地接壤、毗邻。如：
North Korea is on the east of China.

It is a city in the south of South America.
这是一座在美国领土内的城市（像中国---台北）

It is a city on the south of South America.
这是一座挨着美国的城市（像上海---南京）

It is a city to the south of South America.
这是一座与美国有一定距离的城市（隔着海峡等，像台湾---海南）

A在B的范围之内时就用
Shanghai is in the east of China
A与B隔岸相望用
Japan is to the east of China. 日本位于中国东方。
A与B相临
Guangdong is on the south of Hunan. 广东在湖南南边

1,IN表示在范围内,属于那个国家
Wuhan is in the middle of China.

2,ON表示接壤相临

3,还有一个TO,表示隔海相望,在单选里常常出来混淆,要注意哦.

on用于……与……接壤

on是在...之上.in是在...里面
