本文试图从语用学，语义学和修辞学的角度来分析英文写作中选词的一些基本原则，以期对英语学习者有所帮助，达到英语学习的目的。对于英语写作者来说，如果由于错误的用词而带来不必要的影响是我们不愿意看到的，熟悉写作中用词的科学性，是至关重要的。因此学会正确学词是我们读书人的必修之课。
