设计基本思路如下：
首先，对轨道结构组成部分进行选择。参照《京沪设计暂行规定》，选用60 无螺栓孔新轨（PD 轨，50m定长），轨枕为Ⅲ型混凝土枕，采用弹条Ⅲ型扣件、采用特级道碴，然后对所选构件进行强度检算。
其次，进行无缝线路设计。根据强度和稳定性要求，确定无缝线路钢轨允许温降幅度和允许温升幅度，结合当地最高轨温与最低轨温，确定路基地段的设计锁定轨温。对线路两端伸缩区长度及缓冲区预留轨缝进行计算，并布置爬行位移观测桩。
最后对设计线路所需钢轨、轨枕、扣件、道碴等数量进行计算，并利用CAD绘制轨道布置图。
