研究印文色料在人为老化条件下的变化不仅能为样本不充分或无比对样本条件下的印文形成时间检验提供可能，还可为可疑文件是否经过人为老化提供判定依据。
文章选用亚信牌、津玉牌等四种不同品牌的印泥，复印纸、信稿纸等四种纸张分别制作了印泥印文的样本，利用UV500-Ⅱ型紫外分析仪对印泥色料进行光老化。首先，利用显微镜和文件检验仪对老化前后及不同老化时间的印泥色料在纸张上的聚集状态和荧光强度进行了观察；其次，以甲酸溶液为弱提取剂，N，N-二甲基甲酰胺为强提取剂，6.00×0.45mm为狭缝大小，485nm为扫描波长，利用CAMAG TLC Scanner-3型薄层扫描仪不同老化时间的印泥色料进行了提取率测定，得到了老化18小时内印泥提取率随老化时间变化的关系曲线；最后，讨论了印泥种类和纸张种类对老化条件下印泥色料变化规律的影响。
实验所得数据为印文形成时间的判定和可疑文件的真伪鉴别提供了一定的理论基础。
