《考勤管理系统》是采用PowerBuider8.0开发的一个基于窗口/服务器（C/S）结构的数据库管理系统。结合当前员工考勤中存在的问题，通过由人与计算机组成的能进行管理信息处理的操作程序来进行员工考勤管理，使企业员工考勤实现系统化、规范化和自动化。
该文主要结合当前员工考勤与管理实际以及存在的问题而设计出的一套计算机运用系统。该系统能够和人事管理系统、工资管理系统相结合，真正实现企业高效、科学、现代化的员工管理。
本系统基于Windows 2000为操作系统，PowerBuider8.0为开发工具。对系统目标、功能分析、功能模块设计、考勤管理中的各系统关系进行了详细分析后，对数据库需求、概念结构、逻辑机构实现等进行分析设计，创建应用程序对象，建立应用程序窗口，从而对考勤信息处理窗口、缺勤类型设计窗口、员工考勤统计窗口等进行设计，使员工考勤与管理系统得以实现。
