3.4. Viscometric analysis
The relationship between specific viscosity (ηsp) and fluidity
(1/ηsp) of CMCellulose solution during the hydrolytic
action of endoglucanases with respect to time is shown in

from isolated fractions were used for the determination of
randomness of their attack on 1% solution of CMCellulose.
The action of Endo B on CMCellulose was more rapid as
compared to that of Endo A. Earlier investigators have interpreted
that it is the magnitude of the slopes that determines
the degree of randomness of hydrolytic action of enzymes;
steeper the slope more random the enzymatic attack [19,30]. From the ratio of the slopes it was found that Endo B fraction
is 1.9 times more random in its hydrolytic action than
Endo A.
