symbol和notation都是符号的意思，但是有什么区别？

symbol:A printed or written sign used to represent an operation, an element, a quantity, a quality, or a relation.
符号，代号：印刷的或书面的符号，用来代表某一操作、要素、数量、质量或某种联系.
notation:A brief note; an annotation:
记号；符号

symbol 多用于象征。比如说。他象征的王位的权利

而notation 就是我们说的标点符号之类的符号的意思。

symbol 其实没有标点符号的意思。。
