随着乡村旅游的快速发展，旅游者的心理逐渐成熟趋于多样化，旅游过程更注重对相互文化的体验，农村和郊区相对与城市来说，天地广阔，自然风光秀美，空气清新，加之和城市相异的文化，对于生活在城市中的居民有巨大的吸引力。在乡村旅游迅速发展的今天，辽宁作为老工业基地，虽然城市化水平较高，但农村人口仍占较大比重，近年来农民收入增长缓慢的问题比较突出，城乡差别有所扩大，因此，新农村建设的任务十分艰巨。加快农村经济发展，除了要大力发展农村工业外，发展乡村旅游也是有效途径之一。而且由于辽宁物产丰富，开发历史独特，城市化水平较高，地理位置优越，交通发达等，发展乡村旅游具有一定的优势，根据这些优势，辽宁省的乡村旅游业亦取得了突飞猛进的发展，近来，辽宁省出现了一大批具有鲜明乡土特色和时代特点的乡村旅游地及乡村旅游区。本文在对乡村旅游资源开发现状总结的基础上，指出了辽宁乡村旅游资源开发存在的各种问题，最后提出了处理问题的对策。
