工业上,辅酶Q10有两种来源,一个是从废弃烟叶中提取茄尼醇,进而合成辅酶Q10,另一种是通过微生物发酵,从发酵液中提取和纯化出辅酶Q10。由于微生物菌种的优化和其他的工艺改进,后者在成本上越来越具有优势。但前者在烟叶的综合利用上具有很好的经济学意义,因此烟叶生产大省云南主要通过这种方式生产辅酶Q10。
