The professer is quite difficult to be pleased.
The professer is quite difficult to please.
1.This work is hard to do.(不定式作定语)
2.The book is said to be translated into serveral languages.

The professer is quite difficult to please,意为:那位教授很难取悦。The professer is quite difficult to be pleased则意为:那位教授很难知足

The professor is quite difficult to be pleased.

The professer is quite difficult to please.

The professer is quite difficult to be pleased不对,The professer is quite difficult to please是对的。 The professer is quite difficult to be pleased中, professer不能做to be pleased 的宾语。
