关于in which 的用法

we were put into a position in which we had either to accept we were less important , or fight the government
in which中的which是代指的position,in … position
题目的意思是我们现在处于一个位置，既不能接受（我们不重要）也不能跟政府发生争执

in which是介词前提吖,
例如,
The old house in which I used to live.
其实就是:
The old house which I used to live in.
因为live后面要加in,所以是in which.
有些动词是要加of,on,什么的,
所以就有of which,on which.明白吗?

不能用that,这是一个定语从句,因为a position 在从句中作地点状语,只能用in which或where.
