想知道,如果是表目的,这里能不能用to hope的不定式来做状语？

这里的分词是伴随状语 不是目的状语
如果用不定式当目的状语 是TO FIND BURIED TREASURE. 因为目的是找宝藏而不是想找宝藏 你用中文翻一遍就懂了
to hope to find 英语里面没这种结构的
这里是ing分词形式做伴随状语，伴随went into 这个动作
也可以改写成a search party went into the cave and hoped to find.....
