As soon as he finished his home work, Eric jumped onto his bicycle and rode off in the direction of the beach. While he was riding along, he thought about the whales（鲸鱼）. He hoped he would see them again today. After he got to the beach, Eric hid his bicycle behind a bush so that no one could see it from the road. Then he ran down onto the sand.Although it was only four in the afternoon, the sky was already growing dark. Eric frowned（皱眉）. If it rained he wouldn’t be able to see the whales because they would stay in deeper water. He hurried along the beach to the rocks. They were the best place to watch the whales from because of their height. Before Eric reached the rocks he felt a drop of water on his head. “Oh no!” He thought. “Now the whales will stay in the deep water and I won’t be able to watch them!” But just then he saw a large shape on the beach. It was a young whale! The whale had come too close to the shore（海岸）and got stuck（搁浅）on the beach! At first the whale didn’t move
艾瑞克一写完作业，就骑上自行车向海边奔去。他边骑边想那些鲸鱼，希望今天能再见到他们。到海边后，艾瑞克就把他的自行车藏到一株矮树丛里这样过路人就看不见了。然后他就向沙滩跑去。尽管只是下午4点，但是人、天却在慢慢黑下来。艾瑞克皱了皱眉头，心想：如果下雨了就看不见鲸鱼了，因为鲸鱼下雨时会呆在深水里。他沿着海边想礁石跑去，因为那儿的高度是看鲸鱼最好的地方。还没到达礁石就艾瑞克就感到有滴水掉到他头上。
“噢，不！”艾瑞克想着，“鲸鱼要到深水里去了，看不见鲸鱼了！”
但就在那还是艾瑞克看见海滩上出现个庞然大物，小鲸鱼！这条鲸鱼离海岸太近被搁浅了。
起初，这条鲸鱼动也不动，艾瑞克想着他肯定死了。然后鲸鱼的尾巴开始慢慢的动起来，看上去那么虚弱。
艾瑞克扭转头，迎着雨飞快的跑回到放自行车的地方。
他必须寻求帮助。如果不马上把这条鲸鱼送回到水中，他就会死掉的。但艾瑞克是不会让这种事情发生的！
埃瑞克一做完作业立马就跳上了自行车踏上去海滩的路。在路上他一直想着鲸鱼的事情。他希望自己今天还能遇到他们。到了海滩之后，而瑞克把自己的自行车藏到了一丛灌木后边，那样别人从马路上就看不到了。然后他跑到了沙滩上去玩。虽然还只是下午4点，但是海滩上已经开始变黑了。埃瑞克皱皱眉，如果下雨的话他就看不到鲸鱼了因为鲸鱼一直在深水里。他快速超那块石头奔去，因为那里很高可已经看到鲸鱼。埃瑞克感觉到脑袋上有一滴水掉下来在他还没有到达那块岩石的时候。“不，”他想。“现在那些鲸鱼一定在深水里，今天是看不到鲸鱼了。突然他在海滩上看到了一个巨大的阴影，一头年轻的鲸！它因为太靠近海滩而被留在了海滩上当潮水退去的时候。一开始那鲸鱼根本就不东爱瑞克还以为它死了呢。接着他却看到它的尾巴在无力的摇摆。他必须去帮助它，他一边想着一边奔自行车而去。如果他们不赶快把它放到水里去，那条鲸鱼就会死掉，而爱瑞克也不允许这样的事情发生。
