为什么这里变间接引语时，不用改时态--过去完成时？？

我知道你认为应该是“过去的过去”所以用过去完成时，其实用过去完成时完全可以的：father asked anne when she had gone to bed the night before.这在语法上没错的。但是语言不是死的，为了表达方便在很多情况下就成了过去时。
因为这里是引用爸爸说的话，而且在说话的当时是过去时，所以就是过去时了
因为，本来都是过去时把！
