How come I can't read the Chinese novels that I download in Chinese?

I has Chinese fonts in my computer and I can type Chinese. But when I download the novels and I can't read it. It is like (

ÄÏÁÖ¸ßÖÐ¡ª¡ªÎÒµÄÐÂÑ§Ð££¡£¡£¡) I don't know why? Can someone help me, please? Do I need to install more Chinese software or what?

is it in a word file? if so, check in control panel/font if u've installed chinese characteristics

or if its in IE, simply change the encoding would work

(if still dont work, message me or update the case here )

Possible resons are:
1 damaged files of your novels
2 An English operation system, especially for .txt file
try another novel (with different extention name)
install a Chinese version OS
