A.looked through
B.looked for
C.looked after
D.looked out

应该是looked through~~
其实只是在A B挑~~
因为c解照顾 d解小心
而A是看穿，看遍的意思~~
B是混淆项~~解找但没有找遍之类的意思。
所以我觉得A是正确的！
此处选A 检查，查找（纸张上的内容）
其它选项的意思：B 寻找纸张 C 照顾 D 当心
a,检查过所有的纸,但是还是没法找到笔记
