关于populate的修饰词?much or heavily?

这句话有错误吗?

This is a much populated city of South of China.

必须要写成heavily populated 么.

在牛津高阶字典查到下面这些说法：

densely/thickly/sparsely/thinly populated regions
人口密度大/稠密/密度小/稀疏的地区

所以你也用副词吧。

我个人觉得啦populated一般前跟副词
例sparsely populated.
所以应该是heavily
