look up的宾语只能是要查的东西，不能是dictionary。

类似的，中文的动词可以带某个宾语，而英文的动词不能带的有：thank、rob等

例如：谢谢你的礼物。不能翻译成：Thank your present.

虽然在中文中，谢谢的宾语可以是礼物，但是在英语中，thank的宾语不能是物，只能是人，所以要翻译成：Thank you for your present.或者Thanks for your present. （这里的Thanks是名词）

同理，rob也是如此，抢我的钱，不能翻译成：rob my money，而要翻译成：rob me of my money.
因为在英语中，rob的宾语只能是人，不能是物。
