C项Not only did the student sent中已经有助动词DID了，所以动词SEND需要用原型。D项The student did not only sent完全不符合NOT ONLY语句（也是通用的提前副词成分的）倒装的规则。
倒装句not only开头的要用固定举行：
not only did/had ***, 因此D 不能选。
因为前面已经用了did, (或者是do),后面的动词要恢复原型。因此排除了C.
如果用的是had, 则后面要用动词的过去分词。
Not only...but also倒装是前面倒装后面不倒装，所以D不能选，C的话有did表示过去时，后面就应该用动词原形send
send的过去式是sent
因为前面有did所以得接动词原形
