be used for与be used to do有什么区别

be used for是说“用来做什么什么”的；
例:bowtle-opener is for opening bowtles
瓶子开启器是用来开启瓶子的。

没有be used to do,只有used to de和be used to doing,
used to do的意思是“过去常常做什么”，
只能用一般过去时
例：I used to go to school by bicycle.
我以前常常骑车去上学。

be used to doing的意思是“习惯做什么”，
例：He is used to washing hands before eating.
他习惯在吃东西之前洗手。

前者表示'用于...'后者表示过去常常做某事
