UC知道求助:在ubuntu安装上安装tar.gz失败

我用的系统是ubuntu7.04,
./configure一个解压后的文件时显示:
checking build system type... i686-pc-linux-gnulibc1
checking host system type... i686-pc-linux-gnulibc1
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p
checking for gawk... no
checking for mawk... mawk
checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes
checking how to create a ustar tar archive... gnutar
checking for cc... cc
checking for C compiler default output file name...
configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.

安装两个tar包都这样,不知道是不是系统的原因.另外,我的系统也不能用中文输入法,尽管有中文输入法选项,运用不了

编译环境的问题，检查一下编译环境，gcc什么的，还有一些标准库。
把error后面的错误提示复制下来，粘贴到Google、百度的搜索框里面，比在这里提问好，真的。
