Sometimes people ask me about the reason I learn English for,and I think maybe it's because a lot of people speak English.
We learn English for traveling. If we are traveling in America or Europe, we cannot speak Chinese while we are communicating to others.We have to speak English or they won't understand what we are talking about.
We learn English for communicating. There are more and more people coming from different countries, and the most familiar language to them is English.So, if we want to introduce ourselves , we need to learn English.
