此句子中resolve是根据何语法或搭配使用的 是test sb. do sth.吗？感觉没这个用法 谢谢谢谢！

to defend the northern limit line是动词不定式作目的状语.

应该是这样的，相当于have ,get 等的用法了，不然没有办法解释了。

我觉得这里从语法上来讲resolve应该是个名词，意为“决心、坚定的信念”。
