请问第二句话中的hold怎么理解？我之前理解hold是暂停住某种行动。我的理解好像不太全面或者不太正确。谢谢。

比如说
He hold a party to celebrate his birthday
他举行了个聚会来庆祝生日
当然还有暂停某个行动的意思
比如
-May I speak to Mr Allay ?
-Hold on for a moment . I will call him to answer your call
这个hold就是暂停某种行动的意思
还有“坚持某种观点”的意思
He hold a very bad view
他持有一种很坏的观点
还有一种语义
-Help me! I can't keep doing this
-Hold on, I will be there right now
这里hold在和on搭配时还有“坚持住，挺住”的意思

我觉得可以理解为：执行。与后面的event一同理解为执行这个计划，第一段是说有一个经营计划，最后又提示为了应对金融危机。
