most classes are offered during the Fall (秋季) and Spring (春) semesters. Most Universities, however, offer very limited classes in Summer (夏) for students who may have missed some classes, or see classes they want to take to quicken the graduation process. However, the choices of class are very limited. I don't know whether you are going for undergrad or grad, your decision will be based on whether you see classes that you take to speed up your graduation, or you see some classes that interest you but are not offered in the other two semesters.

For most people, it is not worth it to start in Summer because at most they could take one or two classes and they have to spend all the money on room and board.
