Certain lessons have to be learned the hard way. Some well meaning articles and presentations on cultural differences have a potential to do more harm than good and may not be as amusing. They present, like my bananas, too many generalizations or quite a distorted view.

In the article, the author point that some well known generalization about culture are distorted. And may lead harm rather than good. And learns must be learned from that. While reseachers insist to have commonility to explain different customs/culture based on group rather than individuals. He/She give some examples about Spanish, Maxico, Chile, Russia customs and culture. Ignore those difference may get someone in trouble, especially when those observation are faulty based on.
