第4句如果是过去的事情我觉得不用用完成时
直接 the phone rang for several minutes but no one answered it.
如果是现在还在响应该是
the phone has been ringing for a while....

第五句我觉得进行不进行都是可以的
they have discussed about that issue for a month.
they have been discussing about that problem for a month.

she has been making silly mistakes recently.
