A project is defined as Capacity Adding where the projected total increase in capacity for that project exceeds XXXX MTPY. Such projects may be categorised as only partially Capacity Adding to the extent to which other benefits, which relates to existing tonnes, are derived - eg cost reduction. The capacity increase to be applied to partial capacity adding projects is not influenced by the fact that the project is only partially capacity adding. However expenditure relating to the sustaining capital portion of these projects is added back and Steps 1 of the BASIC STEPS section refers to this.
