初二英语同义句，急急急急急！！！

She worked harder than ( )( )( )in her class.
我的问题是，为什么应该填any other student而不用the other students?请讲解。

因为anyone

the other student是指三个或三个以上的另外一个学生，强调一个，所以连加s也是不能的。
any other students前面不加the的，表示其它所有的学生

应该是可以互换用的·
any other + 单数名词 表示 其他任何的
the other + 复数名词 表示 其他的

any other +名次单数。因为强调的是任何一个。
