Half full, half empty

You know that your year in school is about to end whe you see that your classmates’ shoutouts, either in msn, ym, friendster or facebook – all carry the same message.

“One more paper…. and I’m free.”

Honestly, I’m not that excited. I thought I would at the start of the exam month, but now, I don’t know… I just don’t get the vibe. Maybe it’s the fact that Monday is not the last paper for me (and some other unfortunate few), I still have Creative Writing on Friday. But I don’t have to study for that. I just go to the exam hall, blurt out all my freakiness onto the paper for one hour, and call that creative.

But I think mostly, I’m not that excited because of the thought that we will not be free after all. After this there’s more than just attending classes, finishing assignments and passing exams.
