请问这的climbing后面为什么还要加in呢?前面不是已经有into了吗?

首先这句话的意思是窃贼进入屋子是用破窗爬进的方法，Into是指窃贼进入的进入，而climbing in是指窃贼破窗之后爬进的爬进，如果不加in的话，你单说窃贼破窗然后爬就不对了嘛，两边因为中间有个by，所以那是两码事。
例句：Some plicemen came into the house by breaking the door and running in.
