There is a widespread concern over the issue whether students should pursue furthur education based on university or the specialty. While different people hold different views, I would be in favor of the university.
As the saying goes, "a coin has two sides", however, I believe in the viewpoint that the advantage of taking university into main consideration has overwelmed its disadvantage.
Firstly, the whole university stands for the culture and history of the campus, which will create a crucial atmosphere for students to live and study in. The ambience can significantly influence students' behavior, opinions, and more importantly, thoughts.
Secondly, the whole univeristy is a combination of diversified features from all sorts of departments, and represents the most impressing and shining points to the public. When you need to learn the place that you are going to live in, the easiest way is to learn about the whole univeristy, rather than a department.
