本科生申请美国phd，gpa80左右，gre还没考，估计在1200上下，有可能申请成功吗？申请要注意哪些细节

机会还是比较的，说实话你既然这些已经定了，你可以在你的PS和resume及推荐信上下一番功夫，鬼子还是比较看重这些文书的，因为他们找的是能过去帮他们干活的，并不是去专门学习的。你如果考个Sub可以弥补一下你的GPA和GRE分数不高的缺陷。申请的时候一定要解释一下你的GPA为什么不是十分高，再是你可以发表点什么东西或是做个东西参加个比赛什么的，鬼子也是挺认可这些东西的！总的来说，虽然GRE和GPA很重要，但不是绝对的，GPA很高的人他们最终也是没被录取的例子还是很多见的，因此你千万不能放弃，只要有决心任何事情都能办成！祝你成功，good luck！！！

Frankly speaking, the chance of getting into a Ph.D program in computer science is not so bright with an average GPA and GRE. Ph.D is a bit more serious academic setup compared to master's degree. I'd suggest to look for a master's degree program, which can be a stepping stone for you to leap further later into a doctorate one. Master's programs are much of a different grade and variety, and some can be very non-academic, more of a work program expecting less degree of thesis work.
