本文从枢纽的交通方式和功能的变化发展出发，应用相关理论，对城市综合交通枢纽的功能定位进行研究。同时针对目前城市综合交通枢纽类别划分方法的不足，通过对综合客运枢纽产生原因和发展现状的分析，结合新的综合交通功能定位的发展对于枢纽分类原则的影响，提出了新的综合客运枢纽类型划分方法，并结合上海的实际情况进行了基本分析与研究。同时针对新的分类标准，提出关于综合客运枢纽的评价方法。
