1.turn可作动词也可作名词
作动词时意思很多：
1)转过身，翻身
例句：Ricky turned and walked away 里克转身走了
词组：turn around/turn away(都是转过身的意思）
turn to do sth:转过身做某事
例句：She turned to look back at him as he got on the plane她登上飞机时转身回看了他一眼
2）转动（某物），使（某物）对准（某一方向）
例句：Turn the vase so the crack doesn't show.转一下花瓶，这样裂缝就看不到了
turn sth to face sth把...转向...的方向
例句：I turned the chair to face him and began to talk.我转过椅子，面朝他开始说话。
3）路/河流/小径等转弯
4）旋转，转圈
例句：The wheel creaked as it turned 轮子旋转的时候嘎吱作响
5)颜色变色 6）头发因年老而变色 7）到达（某年龄） 8）到达某时间

else 和 other的区别：
else作副词，other可以作形容词，限定词和代词
1）else:what/who/why else or anything/someone/anywhere else 是另外，其他的意思
2）除去，而不是，例句：Everone else but me was invited 除了我之外，其他人都被邀请了
or else：否则，要不：You must pay 100 or else go to prison 要么付100
