随着连铸技术的发展,滑板作为连铸用功能性耐火材料之一,其使用条件越来越苛刻,对其性能要求也越来越高,尤其是其抗热震稳定性能和抗渣侵蚀性。含碳耐火材料最大的弱点就是碳的氧化造成材料的损毁,为了防止碳在高温下氧化以及提高耐火材料的机械强度,使用Si、Al之类的金属和SiC、B4C之类的碳化物作金属为添加剂。
当添加Si、Al之类的添加剂时,由于这些金属与碳或空气中的N2发生反应,析出SiC、AlN晶须和Al4C3板状结晶,弥补了耐火材料组织的空隙,使内部气孔变小,加强了骨料颗粒之间以及骨料颗粒与基质的结合,从而使制品强度增加。同时所生成的碳化物、氮化物起到了抗氧化的作用。Al2O3-ZrO2-C质滑板是目前连铸过程中钢包用主流滑板,从目前大多数生产工艺看,生产Al2O3-ZrO2-C质滑板时,均引入金属硅和少量金属铝,旨在提高滑板的强度,和在使用过程中,改善滑板的抗氧化性和抗侵蚀性。
向烧成铝锆碳滑板中加入2-3%Al粉能提高材料强度,并能降低铝锆碳滑板的烧成温度,但随着铝含量的增加,材料抗水化性能降低。添加SiO2微粉可以提高材料的抗水化性能,并能降低材料在高温时的膨胀。本课题通过改变铝粉和SiO2微粉含量,研究烧成温度与制品强度、抗水化性能和抗侵蚀性之间的关系,为进一步降低生产成本和提高滑板性能指明方向。
