如何选择mysql的安装版本

我的机器是Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike)的，我现在想装mysql,但是不知道需要安装什么样的版本，

你的LINUX太老了。自带的应该是MYSQL 3，光卸载相关的东西就非常多，
基本上PHP_MYSQL等等很多模块都要作废了，感觉你会非常痛苦的。
