随着计算机网络技术的日益发展和普及，很多单位、团体都建立了自己的内部网，这样网络安全就显得越来越重要，网络管理人员在整个网络运行期间，能否实时监控联网计算机的运行状态、操作对网络安全具有极其重要的作用。而该系统的实现为网络管理员提供这样的解决方案，通过该系统全方位的监控，网络管理员不仅可以实时查看监视局域网中主机的屏幕，运行的进程，系统日志，系统服务，还可以远程控制其鼠标，键盘，远程操作注册表，终止进程，关闭计算机，浏览文件等。如果恰当的使用，该系统能有效的防止计算机病毒的蔓延、屏蔽用户的非法操作、维护系统，网络的安全。
该系统由两部分组成：控制台系统(控制端系统）和工作站系统(受控端系统）。工作站系统安装于每台联网的计算机上，用于响应控制台的监控命令，并根据需要采样相应数据返回给控制台，而控制台系统安装于网络管理人员的计算机上，用于接收工作站的采样数据并下达各种监控操作命令。
该系统使用了.Net Remoting和WMI等技术，借鉴了面向对象的设计思想以及敏捷软件开发的一些方法，结合使用了C#语言和C++语言，使用Visual Studio 2008作为开发平台。经过几个月的努力，终于成功的完成了该系统的设计与实现。
