Abstract: This study was concentrated on the students from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Research shows that religion, economy, and history are all primary factors which affect the choices the students make when they choose their majors or colleges. Chinese international students are the object in this project because they comprise the majority of international students in the United States: they are also the greater part of our international student body in UIUC.
