1）be made up of 意思是：由...组成（构成）的，例子请看：The energy is made up of 12 parts.(这台机器是由12个零件组成的) made up of 也可以用 made up by 来代替。
2）be made out of 意思是：由...制成（一般指看得出材料的），例如：The windows are made out of hardened glass(这些窗都是由钢化玻璃制成的)。
3) 每天花费，用takes, cost一般是指“这个东西花了你多少钱”，take是指“花费了你多少时间”。cost的过去试就是cost原形。
4）I like the book instead, 是说（与其他物品比较时）我选择那本书。Instead， I like the book, 意思是：相反，我要那本书。意思有一点的区别。
