conceive of和conceive的意思有什么区别呢？

conceive 作为及物动词多数时候表示设想，想像，构想。通常表示通过设想得出某个结果。
如：Conceive a plan to increase profits.

而conceive of 通常也表示想像，不过语境有所不同，通常指想像某种情况
如：
1. I can hardly conceive of your doing such a thing.
我很难想象你会做出这种事情。
2. I simply refuse to conceive of such a solution.
这样的解决办法，我是绝对不考虑的。
3. I can't conceive of your allowing the child to travel alone.
