give sb sth 不需要介词for

She gave her mother the tickets/gave the tickets to her mother.

give 有词组与for同用的

give sth for sth
交换某事物; （多）作出牺牲以换取某事物: I`d give a lot for the chance to go to India. 我宁可多作牺牲也要争取到去印度的机会.

没有give...for的结构。介词for和to的区别是to的指向性比for强，for有为了的意思。动词后接的介词是固定的，有些动词构成双宾语的时候要接to，比如give,tell，有些接for，比如buy
不过有give in for的用法。。表示对…有兴趣。。。
比如I give in for art.我对艺术有兴趣。
还有一种give sth for sth 的用法。。
交换某物的意思。多用于作出牺牲交换某事物

没有吧，buy for，give to，for是为了的意思嘛。
