在字典里的解释是：
an idea that is suggested as a possible way of explaining a situation,proving an idea etc,which has not yet been shown to be true.

也就是说提出一个设想，并不能真正的被直接观察出来，而是要通过自主的分析，想象才能得到的东西

你的意思是假设吗？suppose,assume,presume都可以的吧，名词supposition，assumption，presumption
