我觉得应该学生要用被动语态才正确.
In this college, students are trained to become diplomats.
但是书上是这样, 请讲解.

通俗化了 能懂意思就行了 就像我们汉语 不能严格按照语法的 我汉语的语法都不会呢

我也觉得是are trained to

学生不是奴隶，学习要靠自己

应该are trained to，用被动语态。“学生被训练成”

首先看他的句子结构。students train to become diplomats这里缺少主语。而students are trained to become diplomats 这一句才是正确的。因为students是复数，所以要用谓语are。ok？？？
