The Year of Russia opened on the night of March 21st in Beijing at the Great Hall of People.The president of the two countries,Hu Jintao and Vladimir Putin,atended the opening ceremony presented by the world famous Bolshoi Theatre.
China-Russia Year was started by presidents Vladimir Putin and Hu Jintao.It's senn as a way to promite the traditional friendship and strengthen the trust between the two countries .Cultural exchange is one of the best ways for Chinese and Russians to better understand each other.
