According to the two graphs, it provides us interesting data in terms of people to and from the UK between 1979 and 1999.And in the year of 1999, the amount of British who were interested in five countries where they wanted to have a visit.
It can be seen from the first chart, the rate of English people visiting abroad was increased steadily over the period from 1979 to 1985. However, it’s suddenly went up sharply within the next 15 years, and reached the peak at over 50 million people.
As for overseas residents, they went for a visit to the UK was only 10 million people, which is two million less than those go abroad. But the situation seemed to have significant changes after 1986,it had a rapidly upwards tendency in the 14 years spanning from 1986 through 1998, then the figures came to the summit at 27 million.
