大概是这样翻译，而这个句子其实是由2个句子合成的一个从句。
1）My brother does not sweat the life
2) My brother could never have the life
而句子2就是来解释说明句子1中的life的，也就是说明了怎样的“生活”，就是“他得不到的生活”。所以把他们合成了一个定语从句。

合成后应该是这样的：

My brother does not sweat the life that he could never have.

因为从句“he could never have”中已经有主语“he”，所以那个that其实是没意思的，只是作连词，可以省略的，所以就省略了。

这里要说明一下，这个定语从句中的从句不能用which引导的，因为用了which，就是充当从句中的主语，而从句中已经有主语“he”了，所以这样会出现2个主语，所以不可以用which的。也就是说：

my brother does not sweat the life which he could never have.

这样是错的。
