Survivin是凋亡抑制蛋白IAP(inhibitor of apoptosis protein)家族中新近发现具有表达特异性的凋亡抑制蛋白，选择性表达于肿瘤细胞，在胃癌中呈特异性高表达，在正常组织中低表达或不表达，具有较强的凋亡抑制作用，参与胃癌的发生和发展。研究显示，在分子水平上靶向抑制其表达，能诱导胃癌细胞凋亡并能提高胃癌细胞对促凋亡刺激的敏感性，为胃癌治疗提供一条新途径。
